LARGE PORES – ACNE SCARS

Enlargement of pores is a process that begins with active functioning of subcutaneous sebaceous glands during adolescence. Sebum produced by the glands needs to come out of the pores. If sufficient cleaning is not achieved after intensive sebum secretion, the pores will get clogged. The production continues under the skin, and sebaceous cysts are formed. These will force the pores, resulting in their enlargement.

GÖZENEK GENİŞLİĞİ - AKNE İZLERİ

These accumulations that occur under the skin are perceived as foreign matter by the body. Infections occur as a result of the reactions, which cause formation of acnes. Although it has many types, the lesion we call acne result in skin indentations called acne scars and pigmented lesions if they are not treated on time.

If proper skin cleansing is started as soon as intense secretion of the subcutaneous sebaceous glands is realized, this will allow for avoiding or minimizing acne scars or large pores in the future.

How to treat large pores – acne scars?

We can examine the pore problem in 2 different ways:

1. Prolonged subcutaneous sebum secretion accompanied by acne problem:

In these cases, the treatment should target the acne first. The treatment should be directed by a doctor depending on the type of the acne as determined after examination.

  • Use of medication
  • Skin cleansing with aquapeel and subcutaneous disinfection
  • Chemical peeling
  • Enzymatic peeling
  • Microneedling

When following the treatment program designed based on the determinations, it should be noted that home products should be properly used after the treatment and Medical skin cleaning should be done every once in a while.

2. Large pores and acne scars after the acne problem has ended:

Skin and Pore Cleansing

The first thing to do against large pores is a Medical skin care. The skin cleared from the dead tissue should be revealed and inside the pores should be cleaned. Otherwise, the problem will not go away if the pores are clogged. This procedure can be performed more thoroughly using methods like AQUAPEEL, which is based on simultaneous application of special solutions on the skin with pressure and vacuuming.
Home care products are of great importance. Suitable dermocosmetics should be used in combination with the treatments.

Carbon Peeling

It is a method that involves use of Q-Switch lasers in combination with a carbon cream mask. As the carbon particles penetrate into the pores absorb the laser light and turn it into a high temperature, an intense collagen activation is achieved inside the pores. This results in tightening of the pores.

Microneedling

The needle and the Radiofrequency energy applied from the tip of the needle provide for an intensive collagen activation under the skin and around the pores. This way, the pores tighten.
Fractional Laser:
It is one of the methods that can be used if large pores are accompanied by roughened skin or blemishes. It is based on evaporation of problematic upper and lower layers of the skin in clusters of tiny spots using laser energy, which triggers generation of new cells.

Enzymatic Peeling

It is one of the methods that can be used to remove the dead tissues in the upper layer of the skin, which form in time, if large pores are accompanied by roughened skin and blemishes. First of all, a thorough examination is necessary. Knowing and implementing these methods is not enough alone. It should be determined whether there is an active inflammation and whether there is any medication that should be used in advance. Otherwise, there might be undesirable and worse results if the procedure is performed on areas that should be avoided.
